Ingredients

  • 1 carton sour cherry juice (32 oz.)
  • 1 orange (small, sliced)
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger (finely chopped)
  • 1-2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 star anise
  • 2-3 cloves
  • Orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the orange and spices into a saucepan with sour cherry juice.
  • Place over high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook partially covered for about 20 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Ladle the mulled juice into a tea or coffee cup and garnish with an orange slice.

Notes

GREAT ADDITIONS/SUBSTITUTIONS
Try using 1/2 teaspoon allspice instead of star anise.
