Ingredients

  • 2 tomatoes (sliced in half horizontally)
  • 2 Tbsp. grated low fat Romano cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh oregano (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400℉
  • Place tomatoes cut side up on a baking sheet.
  • Top with cheese, oregano, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Drizzle oil equally over the tops and bake 20 minutes, until tomatoes are tender and cheese is lightly browned.

Notes

Romano cheese can be substituted for low fat Parmesan, Mozzarella or Ricotta.
