Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
Place the banana in a medium-sized bowl and mash with a fork. Add oats, honey and oil and combine well. Allow to rest for about 10 minutes so the oats can absorb moisture from the other ingredients.
After 10 minutes, stir in the chocolate chips and salt.
Drop tablespoon-sized scoops onto the lined baking sheet. Flatten a bit with a fork.
Bake for about 15 minutes, remove from oven and allow to cool completely before serving.
