Course: Snack
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 1 turkey

Ingredients

  • 1 red apple
  • 2 clementines (peeled)
  • Bunch of red grapes
  • Any other fruit that could fit on a skewer!
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

How to assemble the head:

  • Using the brown construction paper, cut out several small (about two inches wide) circles for the turkey’s head and glue or tape them to the apple.
  • Cut two yellow and orange triangles (about 3 cm wide) for each of the turkey’s noses. Stack them on top of each other and glue them to the center of the turkey’s face.
  • Lastly, cut out two small circles for the turkey’s eyes and using a black pen or marker make two small dots in the middle of each and glue them on.

How to assemble the body:

  • Steady the whole apple on a sturdy surface. Try to choose an apple that can stand up on its own.
  • Insert the wooden skewers in a fan around the apple to look like turkey feathers.
  • Place the clementines, grapes and other fruits in your own pattern on to the skewers.
  • Place the last skewer in the front of the apple and glue or tape on the turkey’s head.
  • Enjoy with you classroom or your family!
