Citrusy Brussels Sprouts Salad

  • Zest and juice of one orange
  • Zest and juice of one lemon
  • 1 shallot (finely minced)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic (crushed and minced)
  • 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries shaved or thinly sliced or raisins optional
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds optional


  • Combine dressing ingredients in a small bowl and whisk well, or shake everything in a lidded jar.
  • Place the Brussels sprouts in a large bowl. Add just enough of the dressing to coat, then toss well. Top with seeds and cranberries (if using) and toss again, then serve.
