⅓cupjarred marinara or pizza sauce(plus more for dipping, if desired)
⅓cupfat free or reduced fat cottage cheese
⅛tsp.Italian seasoning
5-7slicesturkey pepperoni
4large olives(sliced)
Fresh basil
Instructions
Preheat oven or air fryer to 400°F.
Layer marinara or pizza sauce on top of your bread slice. Layer on cottage cheese and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Place turkey pepperoni and sliced olives on top.
Place in preheated oven or air fryer and cook for 9 minutes.
Remove from oven or air fryer and let cool slightly. Top with fresh basil and serve with a fork and a knife, with extra marinara for dipping sauce if you

Look for a whole grain sourdough if you can find it!
Other bread options: sliced whole grain bread, whole grain bagel or pita. Thicker bread will hold up better in this recipe.
Feel free to add any of your favorite toppings! Artichoke hearts or sundried tomatoes will also work well.
