Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Grilled Asparagus

  • 1 lb. boneless (skinless chicken breasts)
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 2 Tbsp.. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • Your family's favorite toppings (cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, avocados, etc.)
  • 1 lb. fresh or frozen asparagus spears (trimmed)
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Combine chicken, vegetable oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toss until the chicken breasts are evenly coated.
  • Heat grill to 350°F. Grill chicken for 5 – 6 minutes on each side, or until no pink remains.
  • Place cooked chicken on buns and top with your favorite toppings.
  • Preheat grill to high heat. Toss asparagus, olive oil, salt and pepper until evenly coated. Wrap in tinfoil.
  • Place the wrapped asparagus on the grill for 2 – 3 minutes or until tender.
  • Unwrap and enjoy!
