Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 4 whole wheat buns or rolls (split in half)
  • Low fat mayonnaise or other condiments

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250°F.
  • In a small bowl combine the onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Line a sheet pan with wax paper, and place the ground turkey in the middle of the pan.
  • Fold in seasoning mixtures and form meat into thin patties.
  • Place the burgers in a large sauce pan on medium-high heat. Cook 5 minutes per side.
  • Wrap the buns in foil and place in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Remove the buns from the oven. Spread a small amount of mayonnaise on each bun and top with the burger and any other healthy condiments, as desired. Serve immediately.
