Cook Time 10 minutes mins
2 medium broccoli stalks (chopped in 1” florets) 1 ½ Tbsp. olive oil ½ cup cheddar cheese shredded Salt and pepper to taste
Heat your skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil.
Once the oil is hot, add broccoli, salt and pepper. Stir the broccoli until evenly coated with oil.
Let it sit for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until broccoli begins to brown.
Spread broccoli in an even layer and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Add ¼ cup water to the pan and cover with a lid.
Turn heat off and let the pan sit undisturbed for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Enjoy!
You can use frozen broccoli here, too. It will create a softer, steamed texture, but it will still be tasty!
Sub any other type of cheese for the cheddar.
For even more flavor, add garlic powder or paprika with the salt and pepper.
