Air fryer
Ingredients
1lb.wild salmon(cut in four 4-oz. filets)
1tsp.paprika
½tsp.garlic powder
½tsp.onion powder
½tsp.salt
¼tsp.black pepper
1 ½Tbsp.Dijon mustard
1Tbsp.olive oil
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer or oven to 400° F.
In a small bowl, add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper. Mix well.
Place your salmon on a clean cutting board. Spread Dijon mustard on top and sprinkle the spice mix evenly over each filet. Drizzle with olive oil to “seal” in the spices.
Place your salmon filets in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, checking on the early side to prevent overcooking.
If baking in the oven, place salmon filets on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-18 minutes.
Remove from the air fryer or oven and let cool for a few minutes. Enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to omit the Dijon mustard or sub olive oil. The Dijon mustard helps to create a bit of a “crust” on the top of the salmon.
Rotate spices to your taste! Chili powder and oregano would be a delicious combo.
You can cook the salmon with the skin on or off. Salmon separates easily from the skin once it’s been cooked.
