Equipment

  • Air fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. wild salmon (cut in four 4-oz. filets)
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 ½ Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer or oven to 400° F.
  • In a small bowl, add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Place your salmon on a clean cutting board. Spread Dijon mustard on top and sprinkle the spice mix evenly over each filet. Drizzle with olive oil to “seal” in the spices.
  • Place your salmon filets in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, checking on the early side to prevent overcooking.
  • If baking in the oven, place salmon filets on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-18 minutes.
  • Remove from the air fryer or oven and let cool for a few minutes. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to omit the Dijon mustard or sub olive oil. The Dijon mustard helps to create a bit of a “crust” on the top of the salmon.
  • Rotate spices to your taste! Chili powder and oregano would be a delicious combo.
  • You can cook the salmon with the skin on or off. Salmon separates easily from the skin once it’s been cooked.
